i have a low oil pressure ,with warning lights to repair,no oil leaks
JA: Have you checked the oil? How old is your oil pump?
Customer: Car is 2008 model 65 plate 69,800 miles
JA: What is the model of your '08 Peugeot?
Customer: the car is peugeot 2008 bought in 2015
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No,local garage has done diagnostic he said under acceleration it was not very good, he seemed that oil pressure was low
JA: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: he replaced two plugs that leaked oil under pressure while driving,no oil leak now but engine fault light coming on.

Ok.. i take it they have checked the oil level or replaced the oil and the oil filter then... have they checked the oil pressure using a guage at the switch that would give an indication as to whether the switch is reading correctly based on the manufacturer specs given in autodata if they have that..if the oil pressure on the guage is showing low too then you likely have an internal fault which could mean the engine needing replaced..either the oil pumps failing or the pick up screen is blocked in the sump..if the sump has to be taken off any metal fragments or particales within the pick up screen will verfiy that... plus they need to rule out whether the engine isnt too low on rpms or lack of power either due to ignition fault or fuel delivery issueor compression loss fault..causing low power..they need to rule all that out..
