I have a Gerrmarc cordless phone. Fully charged, makes a constant beeping noise when it's in base. Also when call comes through, it's on loudspeak. Any ideas?

Hi, I'm Nathan.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.

Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:

1) If you have multiple handsets (within the same system), does this happen with all of them?
2) Are there other phones or even a fax, outside of this system but on the same line? If so are they working properly?
3) Is this a landline from the local phone/cable company, or a VOIP service (vonage/magicjack/etc)?
4) Do you have dsl service on the same line?
5) Full model of the phone(s) (printed on sticker on the base usually)

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
One handset, dsl on same line, local phone company. Geemarc Amplidect 350

Okay, if you pick up the line, do you hear a normal dial tone, or a few beeps first or a fast tone?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Normal dial tone

Okay, the beeping can be from a bad battery. or an indication of missed calls or messages.

If you take it out of the handset, does it keep beeping?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No it's quiet when it's out of the base. There new batteries

Okay the next step then will be a reset process:

1) unplug both power and phone lines from the main base.
2) remove batteries from handset
3) wait at least 15 minutes, then restore all
4) place handset on the main base for a minute, as if to charge
5) check for functionality.

Ok thanks

You're welcome.

If that step doesn't work, it indicates a hardware problem in the system, which would explain both the beeps and defaulting to the speaker mode which it should not do (there is no setting that could cause that) and in that even the system would need to be replaced, they are not feasible to repair. I can recommend replacements for you, if it comes to that.

If you have any other questions, just let me know. Otherwise, please take a moment to rate my service as this is the only way I am credited for my time. Hopefully I have earned 5 Stars but if not please let me know what I can do to ensure you are satisfied. I also invite you to contact me directly with any future support needs at and ask for Nathan.
