My gigaset C430A says no base. The base seems to be properly plugged in
JA: Did this handset come with your C430A system, or was it bought separately?
Customer: The base and 4 handsets were bought together
JA: Do all the handsets show the same message?
Customer: Yes: no base

It has come back to life

Ok, good.  Going forward, if you experience that error, it can indicate that the handsets are too far away from the base or the base is not getting power.  Also, it could indicate the handsets need to be charged.
