My pipes keep banging, hammering I think its called. Is there a DIY cure.
Hi, there is a fitting called a water hammer arrested. This goes onto the pipe near the tap/ toilet ballgame/washing machine. Etc that is causing the water hammer. It is often when a high pressure tap shuts quickly causing the water pressure to bounce back into the pipework. Also if the pipes are loose and not clipped sufficiently this can cause the problem. But I recommend a water hammer arrested fitted onto the pipework.If you Google water hammer arrested images you will see what they look like
