Any experience with main multipoint ff gerry?

Hi, what issue are you having with it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi, thanks for connecting. New replacement MainMP FF. Gas fitter baffled. It will only work if the screws on the front cover are loosened slightly, presumably allow a little extra airflow in. Flue is only 2ft horizontal out thru wall from 90deg on top

Fitter checked gas pressure, seals etc

Thinking of getting Baxi service in under warranty next Monday it was too late today

Any ideas? if not I'm going to bed shortly

Hi, check the fitter the flue restictor ring. Required for short flue run. Easily missed.

If he did(it sits on top of the boiler flue outlet.

If he did check f!he for blockages

Thanks for getting back
Flue is clear and he fitted a restrictor. Not sure which one, should be 86mm according to installation manual. Is it likely that there is too much or too little restriction? 83mm is the other size available.

It could be.. i th9nk it most likely the issue, just check no wiring is getting snagged when putting on the cover .

You need to suggest whether the flue might need more or less restriction, but as far as I am aware the fitter installed the right plate.
Not had a chance to check your suggestions yet, can't till Monday am, but I will rate you good. Regards

Had the Baxi engineer out in the end on warranty, he had to replace the main control assembly which fixed it, nothing else was wrong. I guess the control box was DOA or failing on arrival.

Glad you got it sorted. All 6he best
