Customer Question

Hello, Re Canon MG2250 Serial No LPEA 17895. Don't know the origin of this machine, but less than 2 years old. It has printed well in the past, but recently I had to clean a
copious amount of black ink from within the machine. The result is a sparkling printer which unfortunately, no longer works. I have tried many and varied ink cartridges to no avail. Is it possible that if I inserted brand new cartridges, the machine may once again burst into life??
Sorry, but I am stuck!! EP

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

I suspect that you have been using non-standard, or remanufactured or 'compatible' (or basically, 'cheap') cartridges.
That would account for
- ink leakage
- failure to re-initialize properly or print.

Replacing the cartridges would be good, but:
- What error message does the printer show?
- Does the printer put anything on paper now?
- Does the printer refuse to feed blank paper into the printer?
