Im unable to set quality and media on my Canon Pixma 9500

Customer Question

I'm unable to set quality and media on my Canon Pixma 9500 in Photoshop CS6 (using iMac Mavericks)
I've downloaded latest drivers and software for printer but when I open Quality & Media the options are all greyed out

Hello, my name is Brandon and I would be happy to help you.

This seems to be a long standing issue (not sure if it is a bug) with Photoshop and Canon printers. Canon recommends using their photo plugin instead to print. You can check it out on your printer's support/downloads page:

After you install it (make sure Photoshop is closed), you can get to it from the File > Automate menu.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
