Customer Question

We have Kodak ESP3250 printer which has given no trouble since it was bought a couple of years ago. Colour printing has never been used, only black. Suddenly, it stopped accepting an order to print (in black) with a message saying that the colour cartridge needed changing. The black cartridge still showed a good level of ink.

We were told that if either cartridge becomes empty it is not possible to print with the good one: a replacement cartridge must be bought. Hum!

A new cartridge (10c) was bought (in a pack with a black 10b) and installed as per instructions with a definite CLICK. The printer then went through its usual noisy start up and came up again with the colour cartridge replacement notice. The new one was removed and then inserted again - with CLICK etc.

We got the same story - replace. The system was shut down and then started again with another replacement - same story.

What do we do? When one lifts the lid there is a support stay clicks into place to hold the lid up. What happens when the lid is closed? Does it foul the cartridge carrier?
