I am unable to connect my PIXMA 3250 to my Mac. Can you help?
Hello! Thank you for your question. I am a licensed printer professional with over ten years of experience, and I will be assisting you today.

I'm sorry about the issue. Do you have a laptop or desktop?

Is this a new printer? Or was this printer working on this computer previously?

Did you install the printer driver / software?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you

desktop MAC

Printer is new and a similar printer was working with this MAC until it gave the ghost.

Yes I did install the software

Let's try this:

  1. Please disconnect the printer USB cable from the desktop computer for now.
  2. Click on the Apple logo / menu at the top left, then select System Preferences..., then open Print & Fax.
  3. Select the Canon... printer
  4. Click on the - (minus) icon at the bottom left, and remove/delete the printer.
  5. Power on the printer, then reconnect to another USB port at the back of to the desktop computer.
  6. Click on the + (plus) icon at the bottom left, and it should detect the printer, then re-add the printer.

Please let me know. Thank you.
