I have installed my Kodak Hero 5.1 wirelessly to my new MacBook

This answer was rated:

I have installed my Kodak Hero 5.1 wirelessly to my new MacBook Pro and although the test page prints fine I cannot print anything else - keep getting 'Filter failed' messages. Can you help?
My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.
Are you printing the test page from your Macbook Pro or from the printer menu?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hi Jason, I am printing it from my MacBook Pro

Thank you for the update, Peter.
May I start a remote screen sharing session with you so that I can better help you resolve this problem?
When the remote begins, a chat window will appear that we can use to communicate with each other.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I would prefer you not to go into my computer remotely. Please tell me what to do and I will do it.

I understand.
I have remoted into systems thousands of times with no problems, but I understand.
Please, do the following:
- Click the Apple icon on the top left
- Click System Preferences
- Click the Printers icon
- Right click the list of printers in the left pane and choose Reset Printing System
- Reset the printing system
- Click the "+" button on the bottom left and choose your Kodak printer.
This will reinstall it.
Once that is complete, please try printing once more.
Did this work?

Unfortunately, I still have the same problem

Were you able to find the printer and install if after clicking the + button?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Does it find it by network name or by IP address? In either case, what is the name or IP?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I am not sure how it finds it, but the name of the printer is KodakHERO5.1+0252

I am referring to the network name that shows up.
What exactly happens when you attempt to print something?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

For example when I open a saved document it opens up in the preview window, I then go to file and click on print. Then another window opens up which has the printer name, number of copies and pages on it, as well as a small print view. Then when I select what I want another window opens up which shows me what is happening with the printer - it also says printer is not connected (although I believe it is switched on and online).

As it stands, it sounds like all is setup correctly.
May I ask if you are willing to let me remote in now? If not, no worries, that will be the last time I ask.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I would allow it if you didn't charge me

Sure thing.
That just means that I am not given any credit for the remote session.
Please, click the following link and choose to run the remote application:
Are you having any problems with running that remote application after it is downloaded?
Which Internet browser are you currently using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, or something of the like)?
All is now working.
Thank you for your time and please, do not forget to rate my help below.
