I have a Pixma MG5450 printer. Colour will print but not

I have a Pixma MG5450 printer.
Colour will print but not black.
I have checked the black inks.

Sometimes the print head becomes clogged and cannot print ink or only partially print that color.

WesPCDr :

To fix the problem, you can run the clean print head option on your printer.

1. Press Setup on the Home screen
2. Select Maintenance, then press the OK button
3. Select Cleaning, then press the OK button
4. Select Yes, then press the OK button
5. Select Yes, then press the OK button

Some clogs are so bad that it takes that many or worse, it does not unclog at all.

If the clog bad, a deep cleaning wont help. The print head will need to be replaced.
