Canon Pixma printer ip 4600 won't print, message on screen "operator error" my O/S XP solution please URGENT!!

As the first step, remove the power cable from the printer and wait 10 minutes.
Then connect the power cable, turn on the printer and tell me if it now prints please.

Tried your suggestion ,no good , just the same. Think the printer must have had it unless you know differently

No it has, the Operator error refers to the mainboard on the printer.
There are times when its caused by residue power, but we just ruled this out.
To replace the mainboard costs more then the value of the printer, plus you do not get a long warranty on the repair, therefore for this error, I always recommend it is better to purchase a replacement printer.
