I have just upgraded to Windows 10. My question is: I have some FFV files stored on my computer and in Dropbox. I have not got Word on my computer so I want to know if there is any way of opening them?
Hello and thank you for choosing JA for your support needs. I know upgrades can be a true pain, but I am here to assist with the resolution of this issue. I need to know what program would normally use these files? Word 2013 or X program? Also, if you are sure that these are MS Word used files. Then use this link to grab the latest MS Word viewer software from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3657ce88-7cfa-457a-9aec-f4f827f20cac&displaylang=enPlease let me know of your results...

I downloaded MS Word viewer but it didn't open FFV files. Can you suggest any other solution?
Ok.. I can....
Please try the following: Solution #1: Please go to Start, control panel, programs, programs and features (Or Start, control panel, add/remove programs), and uninstall/remove the FreeFileViewer program, or something similar), then restart the computer, and check.Solution #2: If that does not work, please click Start->All programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore and restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred again, and check. Solution #3: If that still does not work, please try the following:- Please click on Start, then right-click on Computer or My Computer, then click on Properties, then it will show if you have windows xp, vista, or 7; or you can click on the website http://supportdetails.com/- For windows 7, please download and run/merge / confirm the following two files:http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/123734d1312706455-default-file-type-associations-restore-default_exe.reghttp://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/159134d1312706820-default-file-type-associations-restore-default_lnk_-shortcut-.regReference:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html - For windows vista, please run:http://wikisend.com/download/368320/exefix_vista.reghttp://wikisend.com/download/237056/lnkfix_vista.reg(or run at http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/233243-default-file-type-associations-restore.html) - For Windows xp, please run:http://wikisend.com/download/762766/exefix_winXP.reg
