when installing the priner the list of printers on my comp does not include the mx535 and it asks me to find the canon printe that is compatible. the pixma list icontains the following models,: 2000, 3000, 4000, 4000r, 5000, 6000D and 8500. whihc one should i choose richard?
none, you install it via the program on the link I gave you, thats the software you use to install it, you have not run it yet else it would have been installed.
I can see you are a first time user to the site. What we do here is either a question and answer type of conversation or remote support where I would actually connect to the computer and have a look and attempt to fix the problem for you.
Remote support can save a lot of time if you are not comfortable performing repairs yourself. Sometimes even with instructions you can make a mistake and make things worse.
