My 4250 will not scan today- it was ok three day ago!

Are you scanning from a windows or mac computer? And what is the error you get when the scan fails?

Windows and i get no message its just says processing and then no scan noise or motion takes place
Can you remove the power to the Xerox (so unplug it from the power socket) then wait 10 minutes.
Connect the power, turn it on and tell me if you can now scan from it please.
