When I get to WLAN Enable, then On, the next thing is "Accepted", then back to WLAN Enable, I am not getting to the Set-Up Wizard. What can I do next?

I will opt out in favour of another engineer more familiar with your model, I would imagine this will need to be configured using the USB cable connected to a PC

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Currently I do not have a USB cable connecting to the PC. It has been working fine wirelessly since I got the printer around six months ago but somehow lost the wireless connection and I need to get it back! with thanks

Hi Kenneth. This isCustomer/p>

Should I provide you a video for reference on setting up the WLAN?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK let's try that

CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO

If this doesn't work then we will have to set up wireless connection through your computer.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The process seemed to be successful. Screen said "connected" + got print out saying "Connection: OK". But when I try to print from my Mac I still get the message "printer is not responding". Frustration!

Now you will need to make some changes on your Mac.

You can choose Secure Remote Assistance if you want me to set up your printer else I will guide you through

Press Apple logo present at the corner of your screen, Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.

Choose Print & Fax.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm happy to be guided through using this texting method - thanks!

Let me know when you are on Print and Fax screen. You will see some printers listed there. Delete all the printers listed there

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
In System Preferences I can get the screen for "Printers and Scanners" - is that the right one?

Yes. Select that

Now select each printer listed there and press the Minus (-) sign, one by one

Empty the list

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can select the printer but it does not respond to pressing the minus sign. Just get a bleep but not deleting.

Okay no problem. Press + sign.

Your network printer will be shown there. Do you see it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can see the printers listed but same result with + sign - just a bleep.

CHECK THIS DOCUMENT and try to add a new printer with the procedure shown there

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I am failing to delete the printers listed. So nothing happens when I press +. I am not able to get to the "Add Printer" screen.

Make sure no printer is selected. Then press + sign

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
This is the problem. When I open the screen it already has a printer selected and I don't know how to get out of this.

Do you have any print jobs queued? If yes then cancel all the prints

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK I have got to Add Printer but now failing to get dropdown list.
Might be best if you did the secure remote assistance - getting complicated!

When you press the plus sign, do you get any printer's name on the new window?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
2 printers. One is the Brother where we have the problem. The other is a Photosmart that is working ok.

Select the brother printer

Follow the on screen instructions to add it.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK done that
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK saying it is setting up the device

When the setup is complete, give a print command and make sure the printer brother one is selected

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
34;An error occurred ... unable to communicate with the printer at this time

turn off your printer and restart your mac

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK will try that

Let me know the result

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Have restarted mac. Shall I switch on printer again?

Yes and then give a print command

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Same result - "The printer is not responding"

Can you choose Secure Remote Assistance so that I can check the issue

The file's name will be Elsinore.screenconnect

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sadly the system is saying that it cannot open this file because it is "from an unidentified developer". Is there any way to get around this?

Yes there is a way.

  1. Open the System Preferences. This can be done by either clicking on the System Preferences icon in the Dock or by going to Apple Menu > System Preferences.

  2. Open the Security & Privacy pane by clicking Security & Privacy.

  3. Make sure that the General tab is selected.

  4. Under the section labeled Allow applications downloaded from:, select Anywhere. On the prompt that appears, click Allow From Anywhere.

Check this image

Once you have changed this setting, open the Elsinore file
