I have a photosmart 140. When i enter an sd card the printer gives an card access error code. How do i get around this.

Make sure the sd card has the lock on the side in the up position, that will be unlocked with the slide closest to the end that inserts first.

okay, have you tried a different sd card?

That will let us know if it a hardware or firmware issue with the printer or if it is just an issue with that particular sd card.
