We have an Epsom XP-342 printer. Recently changed our BT hub &have a new address. Have input that into the printer and when asked for the password, it only allows 7, sometimes 9 characters before going to setup. Our password ***** 14 characters. Have tried many times without success.
JA: When did you last change your Wi-Fi password?
Customer: We have never changed it up until trying to do so now.
JA: Have you connected to this Wi-Fi network from a laptop or desktop (either Mac or PC) in the past?
Customer: No
JA: Anything else you want the Network Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Cant think of anything.

After selecting option Push Button (WPS), press OK, then press the WPS button or Pair button on your BT Hub modem device and then wait a few minutes, check. Thank you.

Thank you for the remote support session. Summary: There is hub compatibility issue (long Wi-Fi password); suggested to use USB printer cable. When you have the USB printer cable, please try the following steps:

  1. Click on Start > Control Panel.
  2. Open Hardware and Sound / Devices and Printers.
  3. There, right-click on your Epson printer and remove it / delete it for now.
  4. Turn on printer.
  5. Connect USB printer cable from printer to computer.
  6. Wait a few minutes, then see if you can print now.
