I have the Canon MG5750 printer. Scanning to the PC worked

I have the Canon MG5750 printer.
Scanning to the PC worked perfectly until about a week ago since when i have tried numerous times to reconnect etc
Now I can suddenly no longer scan documents on it.
I press Scan and the screen reads PC USB, Doc type Autoscan. If I press the Black button, the message is Set the PC to start scanning. If I press OK, the display reverts to PC Local (USB). If I press on Save/Forward, the second icon on the screen is PC. If I press OKthe screen says "Select PC" and LOcal USB. If I press Search again, it says Processing: Please wait momentarily, but then reverts to Select PC

Have you tried power cycling the machine see if it comes up with a error code.

I’ve turned off overnightNot 100% sure what “power cycling” is

turn off and on again, and also connect the usb cables on both ends and then restart the computer.

sounds like issue with the driver, reinstall the printer on the computer.

What does that mean as power is fine , fuse ok

there is a part of the machine that is the formatter thats where it is.
