Since you are getting an error that the roll is not in correctly can you please remove it and then follow the steps listed here to confirm the roll is set up correctly. https://help.brother-usa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/143714/~/roll-paper-cannot-be-fed.-set-the-roll-correctly
Thank you for that information. Would you have a different roll then to try?
Are you still with me?
Thank you. Once installed can you run the print test on the printer itself?
One moment while I get you those steps.
Turn the printer off, when turning it on hold down the feed button it will flash for a moment and then print something.
Sure. Please take your time.
Just checking in, have you had any luck with the steps to run the print test?

What was the error please?
Is the roll lined up and did it attempt to grab the label at all when running the test?
Remove it and reboot and do it once more please.
Sure, please take your time.
So it runs and prints and then errors out? Does it look like it is feeding straight?
After the reboot?
Did you do the hold down feed button like the first time?
Thank you and did it not feed like the first attempt?
Can you please examine the printer and see if a label may be jammed in it causing this issue?
Do the rollers look clear?
Are these rolls the same as past ones that worked correctly?
I see, did this current roll work before or did the issue start when you installed it?
Was it newly purchased?
The label or the printer?
Do you have access to any label that worked in the past?
The issue is either the rollers on the printer or the labels themselves. If you can try another roll or product I would suggest that first.
I found this video about the label sensor. It may need to be reset. Try watching the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW0SuKpfOVA
