My printer is not printing
JA: How are you connecting to your printer: wirelessly or by USB?

JA: When did you last update the printer driver software?
Customer: maybe 6 months ago

Customer: The printer is printing a p[age with no ink on the page, Have not received a message to say out of ink

Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the printer

  1. Open Control Panel on your PC
  2. Click Devices and printers
  3. Right Click the printer you are having issue with
  4. Select troubleshoot
  5. Try printing after the troubleshooter has finished troubleshooting the issue

I did note at the start that the problem is with the printer printing ink on the page rather than a problem connecting to the printer

  3. Right Click the printer and open printer properties
  4. Click the maintenance tab
  5. Click clean print head

Have carried out all the maintenance cleaning from the printer menu including cleaning cartridges and smears to no avail as printer will still not print any document, it is a blank page that comes out of the printer.

Have you checked the ink levels?

printed from a web page and it worked. Adobe said it was printing but did not want to connect to the printed. What is the problem with printing from word?

While printing from Adobe select the correct printer while printing.

To resolve the issue with word repair Microsoft Office installation

Please follow the steps below and repair Microsoft Office installation. Make sure you remember the email linked with Office subscription as you may have to enter it after the repair process to activate the product.

  1. Press Window key + R (Hint: Windows key with a windows logo on the last row of your keyboard)
  2. Type appwiz.cpl and press enter
  3. Select Microsoft Office from the list. If you see more then one installation select the one which was installed more recently
  4. Click Change
  5. Select Repair
  6. Choose Online Repair
  7. Microsoft Office installation will take some time to repair depending upon the speed of your internet connection.
  8. Open any Microsoft Office app after the repair process and activate it again if prompted

Went through the repair process and printer still wont work but I also need to activate office files word etc , but cannot remember the email used and this was registered about 7 years ago.

For your information a PDF document which was sent to the printer, it printed the logo on the page but not the text on the body of the letter.
