Customer Question

building work on roof requiring extensive scaffolding to own property and partly into two neighbouring properties. Work completed builder paid in full (scaffolding inc. in quote) now find builder has not paid scaffolding company and they refuse to take down scaffolding until paid in full. We did not have any contract with scaffolding company how can we make them take it down?

Many thanks for your question. I will help you with this.

You can write to the scaffolding company demanding that they take the scaffolding away on the basis that it is on your building. You are nothing to do with the dispute between the builder and the scaffolding company.

If they refuse to do so, you can go to court for an order making them take the scaffolding away. You can also claim towards your legal costs of doing so.
