This answer was rated:

i want to replace the fence between my house and next i have the right to do so?
the existing fence is derelict and I want to put a new identical fence in its place and in same position.
Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you.
Who owns the fence at the moment? Does it say in your deeds?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
There is no indication in the deeds regarding who owns the fence.
AS the house is viewed from road, which side of the house is it, left or right?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Ok, then this probably belongs to your neighbour.
Will he refuse to let you renew it?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Actually he has just agreed so problem solved.
Thank you.
Great. I am glad.
If he did not you could have only renewed it on your side of the boundary line. If this was the left fence, traditionally you have responsibility for that - hence the questions.
Can I clarify anything else for you about this today please?
