This answer was rated:

As a long standing Tenant the original AST has been extended annually requesting two months written notice --- the Lease Extension expires Dec 03, and, a further 12 months has been offerered -- if I don't accept the new extension do I still have to give two months written notice ?

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you.

Yes. The law says you must give two months notice.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

If not, I would appreciate a 5 star rating for my answer. Thanks!

OK Jamie --- that seems cut and dried --- what clarification and does it cost ??You can have a 5 star if you wiwh

No cost to clarifying anything.

But yes, it is cut and dried.

Does that clairfy?

Even though the Lease expires on Dec 03 ?

makes no difference. The Housing Act says 2 months notice. It doesn’t just end. it runs over into periodic.

So two months by Law.

Does that clarify?
