We have an equitable charge on our home. Will this expire at any point? The charge was placed on our home 4 years ago due a business that failed.
Assistant: What steps have you taken so far? Have you prepared or filed any paperwork?
Customer: No, it was just an enquiry to establish whether the charge will expire.
Assistant: Where is the home located?
Customer: In Lincolnshire
Assistant: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: No thank you.

Thanks so much

As it as a result of a Court order?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it was a court order. The charge is now on our title deeds.

Ok - then it is on for life unless removed by a further Court order.

Therefore it does not expire.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

If not I would appreciate a 5 star rating for my answer. If you need more help, you can ask follow up questions for free and I would be delighted to assist. Thanks!
