Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with your question today. I am reviewing it, please give me a moment.
What is it you want to know about this today please?
Do you have a rent book?
The bank which closed the account, why can’t they provide the statements? You are entitled to them under the Data Protection Act 2018?
ok. You may need to submit a formal written request.
No. The s.8 does not need a court order. Only if there are possession proceedings as a result can you ask the judge to set aside or adjourn proceedings.
As I understand it, the landlord has not yet issued proceedings, just served notice.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today, please?
If not, I would appreciate a 5-star rating for my answer, by clicking the button at the top of the screen. I am not paid for my time unless you rate. If you need anything further I am available for a follow up at no extra cost.
Write to your landlord saying what you intend to do. Then keep a copy of the letter To support your application to court.
Does that clarify?
Ok. Then you just seek statements, nothing else and wait for court papers which you can defend.
Does that assist?
When you get court papers there is a response back.
You fill that out,
Does that help.
Sadly not, I can’t be instructed. But you can get a public barrister to help you at www.clerksroomsirect.com
