My question is about the liability of our golf club in

Customer Question

My question is about the liability of our golf club in respect of stray balls entering gardens. We have a house adjacent to our course, which was built many years after the course was established. Are we liable for injuries or damage?
JA: Where are you? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Derbyshire UK
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: The course has a tree line but this is clearly not high enough
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: How much will the advice cost?
JA: The Expert's answer will cost $10 to $100, depending on the issue type and time to respond. You'll see the exact amount on the next page and can decide then. It's way less expensive and more convenient than any face-to-face visit.
Customer: Sorry, I'd assumed you were in the UK

I am an English Solicitor.

Yes, the CLub could potentially be liable for any damage caused by balls damaging this neighbouring property.

It does not matter that it was built after the Club was established.

It would be advisable to take measures to prevent balls from your Club from going into this neighbouring property e.g. green netting or similar.

May I help further?
