I have a registered charge on my property in favour of hsbc

hi i have a registered charge on my property in favour of hsbc bank dated 12/02/2009 and dont know what it is for as have not banked with them for years i cant get through to anyone that can help from hsbc is there a way of finding out what this is for

Customer: no i have just had a copy of my title deeds

Have you ever been a customer with hsbc in the past? i.e. taken a mortgage

no mortgage i used to bank with them but no overdraft or loans

OK, this is a common issue that customers face when a mortgage has been redeemed but the charge against the property has not been removed.
