Hello I have a h.264 dvr 16 channel. It will not let me playback

I have a h.264 dvr 16 channel. It will not let me playback everytime i go into time event search it takes away all the recording embelms and then after a couple of minutes turns itself off then on again.

I have rest users password XXXXX dates but I have never used a user before have always gone in as admin.

Hi there,
It sounds as though the file structure on the hard drive has gotten corrupt, or the firmware is corrupted, preventing it from playing back the recordings correctly.

You can try reformatting the hard drive or reset the h.264 box to its original factory settings.
You can also try updating the firmware.
