Hi. I have a panasonic dmr ex769 and accidently I changes the remote control settings so that now it doesn't work and on the display shows dvd2 . Tried resetting device by pressing up and down channels. No luck. Tried unplugging no luck

Please press OK/Enter and #2 buttons on recorder remote for 5 seconds, release the buttons and push OK/Enter button on more time and check, does remote work on recorder now?

Remote started to work again. However I have lost all control functions. It says av1 on box now

Excelletn, glad to know that remote is working now.
Actually you have resetting device by pressing up and down channels so need to go into recorder menu, select tuner option and run auto setup/ auto channel scan option so recorder can get available channels and save the data in memory.
