When I put a disc into my blu-ray I get a message saying

When I put a disc into my blu-ray I get a message saying "unknown disc" or "no disc" and it won't play
JA: Who makes your speaker or sound system?
Customer: Hitachi tv, toshiba blu-ray player
JA: What have you tried so far with your Toshiba system?
Customer: Read manual; looked at on-line manual, changed batteries
JA: Anything else you want the Audio/Video Expert to know before I connect you?

If this is happening with all discs, then there may be dust on the reading lens.

Try running a cleaning disc inside your BluRay player a few times and let me know if that helps.
