Hello, it appears your question is still open.I haven't heard back with the info needed to get into specifics,but if you still need help I can give you some general info to get you started.
Unfortunately the issue here is really a firmware limitation.
Your player is at an age where it is no longer supported. So the features you are wanting to use have been discontinued due to outdated software and expired licenses. This and other features will continue to fail as the unit ages and there will be no future updates or enhancements for it.
Short of replacing the it, your next best option is to connect an external streaming device or media player (which start at as little as $30) such as a roku or fire tv or appletv and get all the same functions and many more, with better performance and lower cost.
