Thank you for your question and welcome to Just Answer.

Where is this company based?

How much money have they taken so far?

Kind regards

Dear AJ, I hesitated to respond as I seem to be entering into an open ended arrangement such asthat of my wife. However, I feel that legal advice is important at this time. I have just returned from a 2 months visit to Australia and New Zealand and I have been dealing with other issues. To answer your queries above, I have established that this company are based(?) in Scotland. Their address is given as PO 13263, Galashiels, TD1 9AJ. They have taken some £350 from our credit card so far in March, April and May, unfortunately exactly the period my wife and I have been away. They have been able to do so as my wife was gulled into believing that she was going to enjoy a 14 day "free trial" of a miracle slimming product (mainly containing natural laxatives). In order to do so all she had to do was to pay shipping costs by entering our credit card details, including SIC codes. They used these to set up a continuous payment authority. Today, I have written to TescoBank to confirm my telephone conversation with them on Sunday last, when they agreed to my request to cancel any further payments to this company. My wife has also written to PO Box 13263 to cancel any further shipments, but we are not convinced that this will be actioned. Both these letters are subject to "Track and Trace"

Since my earlier communication to you, I have been on-line to read some of the similar experiences of others who have fallen into this same trap. Any googling of SLIMZENE or NEUCLENSE or the so called contact number 0-XXX-XXX-XXXX will bring up any amount of adverse comment.

We are alarmed by some of the suggestions that debt collectors have been employed over disputed shipments and payments. This company impose unfair terms and conditions. Any customer is offered a 30-day money back guarantee on all non-trial orders (less S&H) from date of delivery. It continues " For questions, call Customer Service on XXXXXXXXXXX between Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Saturday 9am-1pm GMT). A Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) is required to receive a refund and must be requested from Customer Service within 30 days after delivery. They continue " Neuclense/Slimzene will not accept or refund any returned items without a valid RMA. No refunds will be issued from their Lifestyles Autoshipment Program once they have been shipped.

We are not interested in refund, preferring to put the losses down to experience. However, how do we stand with this American based firm?
