I would like to know if I would receive my partner of 40yrs private pension and old age pension should anything happen to him I have been knowing of his name for the last 39yrs if you could tell me the answer thank you

You can be entitled to his private pension as long as he has made any required nomination with the pension scheme. He should get in touch with the scheme administrators to check that you have been named as the person to benefit if he dies. Try to get this in writing from them.

You won't get his state pension.
