will i go to prison, for selling a car whilst it was on finance
Thank you for your question.
No you won't, definitely not, unless it can be proved that your intention was to defraud the finance company.
Otherwise this is a civil matter and would be dealt with in the civil courts in the event that the finance company had to sue you for the money they are owed.
I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.

i have been arrested by the police, for fraud on bail till sept, i was asked about a a peace of plant machinery i purchased with finance, i then sold it on, gaining a settlement figure and telling them and the person who was buying it, but no evidence. it was then repossed back on 2012, i was arrested last week and out on bail till sept

What is the value and why didn't you repay the finance company?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

£20,000 and i thought at the start the buyer was going to and then i had a stroke in 2012 and not worked since and or heard from finance company or person who brought it

How much was the finance outstanding and how much did the buyer pay for the item! What was the value of the item? Why did you think that the buyer would repay the finance and do you have proof of this?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

he paid 20k, value of finance about 20k worth new about 35k, buyer told me he was going to settle finance

sorry no proof, ppolice complaint from buyer was only in feb of this year

Why would the buyer pay out a total of £40000 for a second hand item that was worth £35000 new?
That is the question you would need to answer for your defence to have credibility?
