I am writing to ask this question for my daughter.
she was on holiday and the police broke into her house and removed 2 computers as they said there was child porn images on one of them. the computer in question was used as a media centre and was bought from a person on gumtree. both her and her partner were arrested and spent the night in jail, they were taken to court next morning but were not charged and were released without charge or even going in front of the judge. my question is will this arrest show up on a pvg check as she is a student nurse and is worried that it will affect her career
Thank you for your question.
In theory, it may show up as "other relevant information" on a PVG but it is more likely that the police would return no information on the basis that the enquiry which led to the arrest was a false enquiry.
After this length of time, I have my doubts that she need worry about it.
I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
