I have just purchased a car with a cash sale from a reputable motor trader. The car was advertised as having done 19000 miles approx. for which I signed documents with this stated in black and white. T he true mileage is 24000miles, this is further backed up by other documentation in the folder ie MOT certificate and service record. How do I proceed now?
Thank you for your question.
They have misrepresented the position. As a result they are in breach of contract. You would be entitled to claim damages representing any difference in the price occasioned by the wrong mileage.
Happy to discuss further.
I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
