the money thats paid each week for child maintenance can this be paid into an account for the children for when they are older or does it have to be paid direct to mother each week .i will have to pay the basic rate do you know how much for each child i earn £400 before tax each week

Child maintenance is paid directly to the parent.
For 2 children, where you have them for more than 175 nights a year and earn £400 a week gross, your child maintenance liability is a total of £18 per week.
This will increase if you don't see them so often on an overnight basis.
