Hi, my girlfriends ex husband is threatening to take her to

Customer Question

Hi, my girlfriends ex husband is threatening to take her to court for custody of their children if she moves to be close to me and the rest of her family. Can he do this? Is this legal? She has today received a solicitors letter saying this. Please can you help and tell me options. She doesn't want to go to court in a custody battle. But we think it is just a threat. How do we deal with this?
Many thanks
