Hi My ex is currently visiting my 5 month old at my home

My ex is currently visiting my 5 month old at my home for 2 hours twice a week, however he has frequently cancelled and the duration of the visits over the last 6 weeks has been less than 1 hour over the last month he has seen him once for 40 minutes. I have recieved a letter from his solicitor askin for an overnight every week which i feel is too much due to my childs age and the fact my child has no relationship with him due to his lack of visits. I have refused and he says hes takin me to court.
I am worried a court may grant this would they put my child through this when he doesnt know him would they make such a significant jump from barely 1 hr supervised to overnights?
Also he smokes weed can i request a drugs test?
Thank you for your question.
A court won't grant a contact order for a five month old on an overnight basis, especially where the father doesn't turn up and takes drugs into the bargain.
The child should not be separated from its mother especially if you are feeding the child with breast milk.
See your own solicitor about the letter and get him to write back saying that overnight contact won't be happening especially when he can barely exercise daytime contact.
I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
