What rights do I have when a purchaser of my home in Scotland withdraws an offer after it and associated conditions have been accepted and purchase of a new home begun. Expenses of around 1000 pounds have been incurred

Unless the offer was accepted unconditionally in writing there is no contract and either party is free to walk away.
