Hi we are tenants renting through a property company, the owners of the property behave as if this is still thier house with no regards ***** ***** lease, 6 month inspections etc, they want a builder to measure up,for a loft conversion do they have the right to do this? We pay £1250 a month.

They are usually entitled to carry out periodic inspections; most leases provide for six month inspections. They aren't allowed to carry out new building works whilst you are in occupation.
