Historic child maintenance due over an 18 year period ex-partner

This answer was rated:

Historic child maintenance due over an 18 year period ex-partner paid nothing avoided detection by working abroad is now setting up a business and has stated in the local press that he was employed by pizza express for 12 years culminating in waiter of the year award. How can we get him to pay the maintenance owed?
Is there a maintenance order? If so that can be enforced. If there isn't, it can't. The CSA will be able to tell you what was granted at the relevant time. That is important as you can't now apply for an order retrospectively but those that were made at the time could be implemented.

Thank you so much for your time on this. To clarify, my first stop would be CSA to confirm a maintenance order and take it from there he has certainly jumped through all legal loopholes unchallenged im afraid.
Yes, that would be right.
