I have a question about inheritance. My grandmother

Customer Question

hello, I have a question about inheritance. My grandmother passed away earlier this year. Her house was left to my mother and uncle. My uncle passed away this week. The house has not yet been sold. Is the house now 100% my mother's or does my uncle's share go to his daughter? Thanks

Thank you for your question.
You uncle's share vested in him a the point of your grandmother's death and therefore goes to his estate and on to his beneficiaries. If his daughter is his sole beneficiary then she inherits your uncle's share of the house.
I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
