Customer Question

Please can you advise me. My Husband threatened me with a knife in front of my 15 year old daughter, while he was under the influence of alcohol. This was a complete shock as he has never behaved in such a way before. I called the police and now we are waiting for the law to take its course. He is an IT contractor with security clearance in defence, which runs till 2020. That is the background . Can you tell me as a first offence, is he likely to be cautioned or convicted of assault. Whatever happens, should he immediately declare it in terms of his security clearance. Will a conviction for assault against me interfere with him trying to gain employment in future where SC is required? I know that we will find out eventually but the waiting is very distressing and it would be easier if we had an idea what to expect.
Thank you.

What does his contract of employment say about this?
