Ask a Scots Law Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
Thanks for your question. I am a solicitor in Scotland. Write out and sign a letter granting your partner power of attorney for you in relation to the action and in particular with power to sign the Notice of Intention to Defend. That will allow your partner to sign it and lodge it in court with the court fee. The court will then issue a timetable for the action and I suggest that you return home to instruct a solicitor personally to deal with it. That will get you over the initial problem however. I hope that helps. Please leave a positive rating so that I am credited by JustAnswer for helping you today.
