I’m having a bit of trouble trying to sort out bail

Customer Question

Hi there, I’m having a bit of trouble trying to sort out bail conditions
JA: Where are you? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: in Scotland
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: Essentially, my partner was charged with minor assault on me. His bail conditions are that he can’t be at the address we both live at. Because the court date isn’t until august the procurator fiscal have said they can do nothing. I was directed to the police as it hasn’t been to court yet. And they have also said they can do nothing about it
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: I think that’s about it

Thanks for your question. I am a solicitor in Scotland and can help you with your question today. Was your partner released by the police on a bail undertaking?
