Customer Question

I have a Honda lawnmower model no. HRX426CQXE.
For some reason the drawings of the carburettor adjustment in the owner's manual do not look like my mower! I am particularly interested in adjusting the idle speed. Can you help?

On the left side of the motor is the air cleaner. Remove that. On the crab should be a linkage attached to a cam. Next to that should be a screw that has a spring around it that is your idle adjustment

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I did what you suggested, but I found two screws with springs around their shanks. Also, the bolts that remove the air cleaner also take the carburettor apart so I cannot see how to adjust the idle speed with the engine running.
