Briggs & Stratton Engine Model 110988, Type 126701, Code 41112

Customer Question

Briggs & Stratton Engine Model 110988, Type 126701, Code 41112 with auxiliary PTO on a Hayter Harrier 2 19" Lawn Mower. The auxiliary PTO links via a cable clutch to a chain drive to power the rear roller. Engine OK and Clutch OK but what seems to be a failure of auxiliary PTO or one of it's components means no power to drive roller. Suggestions please.

A pto can fail for many reasons. One of them being the friction material of the clutch has failed. This will cause a slip in the drive mechanism resulting in no motion. There are also springs that allow clutch engagement. With this set up it all comes down to the clutch pack. If you lift the roller off the ground does it move?
