I've got a de Walt ads drill breaker 110v and it will only run for a couple of seconds in breaker mode then I need to release and re engage the trigger
Is that right or is their a fault
I've checked and regressed the gearbox

Hi, my name is ***** *****'re having trouble today.I will do my best to assist you in resolving your issue.

Sorry for long delay.

No it should keep working until released,, it sounds like its tripping overload protection,, which would force you to release switch and start over.

I would also ohm out your power cord,, a internally fraed cord will cause high amp draw and trip overload protection and keep forcing restarts.
Replace cord if resistance is different from one wire to the others.

You would alos want to check for any loose connections internall in drill.
